Mountain Mural
As I flip through countless Pinterest pictures of baby's room I see so many that I think may that is amazing. I wounder how hard that is to do. I am here to say it is pretty easy. I chose mountains because they are dear to my husband and I and they are easy to paint :)
WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THIS NURSERY MOUNTAIN MURAL:
Wall Paint in 3 colours:
Light gray: I used PARA Paint’s ‘Runway Coach’ (eggshell finish)
Medium gray: I used PARA Paint’s ‘Courtyard’ (eggshell finish)
Dark Blue: I used this flat black paint from a previous project, and it worked perfectly! I LOOOVE this paint.
Damp Washcloth – Any washcloth that you have in your home is fine!
Paintbrush & Rollers:
Any small foam rollers and a tray for doing the large mountains
A fine paintbrush like these for any touch-ups needed
HOW TO CREATE YOUR NURSERY MOUNTAIN MURAL:
STEP 1: SKETCH OUT 3 MOUNTAINS LAYERS
I used Chalk to outline the 3 layers, this way I could just wipe off what I didn't like. I marked the peaks with blue tape just to get a feel for the different heights.
STEP 2: PAINT LIGHTEST COLOR
Just take your time and use the paint brush edge to do most of the work. If you overlap where the nest color is don't worry we will cover it up
STEP 3: PAINT MIDDLE COLOR
Make sure first layer is 100% dry before you start. Make sure to overlap on top of the light color so no wall colors is showing in between the mountains. And remember, if you mess up just adjust your mountain or use damp cloths to wipe off immediately.
STEP 4: PAINT DARK COLOR
